The Greatest athlete of all time has been long debated by sports players and fans. Friendships have been dismantled and enemies made just based off this sheer topic alone.
However, the question doesn’t have to be as hard as everybody makes it out to be. Here I’m gonna break down a list of all the factors and nuances that go into deciding who I believe is the king of kings and why I believe so.
First things first it needs to be defined what are the criteria to be a great athlete. For this list we are looking at the criteria of success in one’s sport, how dominant one is in there sport, and how hard it is to succeed overall in said sport. Each athlete is going to get a score out of 10 on each of there criteria and the athlete with the greatest overall score wins.
As decided through majority decision in a pole took by Saucon Valley High School students it was decided that sports with a difficultly to succeed level that is astronomically lower then that of other sports are being ruled out of the conversation entirely.
This includes the sports of: table tennis, water polo, fishing, bowling, ultimate frisbee, team volleyball , diving, cricket, rowing, dodge-ball
Now the sports that are going to be in the top level of consideration for the selection of athletes are going to be sports with a difficulty of success rating that are all fairly high and close in ratings.
This includes the sports of: Swimming, track and field, football, American football, boxing, mixed martial arts, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, chess, and golf
So without further adieu, here is the list of the greatest athletes in the hardest sports to achieve success in, along with their ratings in each criteria of greatness.

You may notice a theme in the displays in the ratings above and it’s that all athletes listed have a 10 out of 10 in dominance and success in their sport because they are indeed the greatest to ever play there sports it wouldn’t make sense if they were anything less than tens in those two criteria because if they were then they would not be the greatest would they.
There is variability in the difficulty of a certain athlete sports, and this is because some sports are indeed, harder than others, however it is also apparent that sports are hard in different ways, and it would be impossible to say which one is truly the hardest, unless one could play all of them at the caliber of athletes, such as the ones above.
So my opinion, I think it is realistically impossible to say that there is one greatest athlete of all time, a king of kings, if you will because it is impossible to truly rate an individual sport as harder than another. And all the goats are equally great in their sports.
