The 76ers have been disappointing the past seven years with multiple second round exits and a first round exits. With multiple stays having short stints with the 76ers like James Harden, Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons all having great seasons with the 76ers but never could finish the job.
Joel Embiid has consistently been one of the best players in the league with his amazing footwork and offensive dominance and his defensive abilities are at his peak right now. Embiid was averaging 36 points before he got hurt and was in the running to go back to back for MVP. The 76ers were the 4th seed before Embiid got hurt and now they have a completely different team.
With Embiid hurt the team has had to rely heavily on a couple players such as All-star Tyrese Maxey, who has broken out the past two seasons. Other key players are Tobias Harris, Kelly Oubre Jr, Buddy Hield, who all have been doing well and keeping the 76ers in the playoffs until the MVP comes back.
The 76ers are currently the 7th seed with Joel Embiid’s return rapidly approaching they are going into the playoffs with a completely healthy team which hasn’t happened in a while. Which has fans very excited to see what we can do with the depth and quality of players they have.
Overall the playoffs are approaching shortly, and the 76ers are slowly getting back to full form with one of the best players in the world coming back and being fully healthy. This playoffs should be a time to watch out for the 76ers they are hungry after losing for the past seven seasons and are ready to make a deep playoff run.
