From seasoned veterans to fresh-faced newcomers, every member is united by a common goal: to work together to improve daily, have fun, and make their mark on the lacrosse scene. But beyond the wins and losses, this season is about camaraderie, growth, and the sheer joy of playing the game they love.
The Panthers are led by Coach Jane Hoff who guided the team to three district titles in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Hoff is quite the leader and role model for the Panthers. She demonstrates hard work and dedication daily, helping create great athletes. “Our goal for the season is to have fun and enjoy the incredible sport. I had everyone write down individual goals at the beginning of the season and I would love to have everyone achieve them,” said Jane Hoff, Head Coach of the girls lacrosse team.
With great training from the utmost dedicated coaches, the Panthers are prepared to make their mark in the upcoming season, aiming for success both in their performances and in their representation of their school. Alongside Head Coach Hoff, helping the Panthers to improve everyday for assistant coach Tim Lannon and goalie coach Nicole Martins (who is a Saucon graduate).
There are many strong veterans on the team along with several new players. “I think the team is in good shape for the upcoming season, especially considering the amount of seniors we lost this past year. This year, we were able to get enough players for a JV team because of the amount of underclassmen and new players which is fantastic! We have a handful of key players returning, especially our Core 4 defenders—Bella, Morgan, Arianna, and Lucy. Also, our midfielders, including me, Riley Lannon, and Madi Kares. I’m very excited for the scrimmage against Nazareth tomorrow, and I think it’s going to be a great game. It’s also going to be a nice introduction back into play before our game against Liberty on Tuesday,” said junior and leader on the field, Madison Laslo.
The Panthers with a 5-11-1 record last year, look to continue to improve and show their work ethic on and off the field. The girls will compete in the EPC league, due to the colonial league not having a lacrosse league. Despite facing larger schools, they are determined to rise to the challenge and demonstrate their skill and dedication.
“The team is looking good! We have lots of new players this year, so right now we are working on preparing everyone for the season, but it has been fun so far. The team’s goal is to rebuild after losing so many seniors last year,” said Riley Lannon another leader on the field.
The Lady panthers are excited to be representing the school and would love for people to support them this season! The first game is vs Liberty on March 19! Pop out!
