Family Career Community Leaders of America, do you know what that means? Family career Community Leaders of America, also known as FCCLA, is a career motivated group for students who build relationships and life skills. In this club, we host various fundraisers, learn how to craft, design, cook, on top of other various technical skills. We build unique relationships with one another, as well as learn and grow together. I’m here to tell you why you should join our school’s FCCLA club, and why it’s going to impact your future forever. Our club is going to give you the confidence and the skills needed to achieve your goals by being here for you, no matter what!
“I started FCCLA here to bring more depth to our former club here, which was called the Fashion Club. We now have the ability to have many more types of activities which appeal to a wider section of students,” Debrah Kimball, head of the FCCLA club and fashion design class stated.
5,300 schools in the US participate in FCCLA according to their official website. Which is most likely due to the fact that we do daily activities that teach us life skills; they may be important tasks or even interesting things like tie dying. You can also learn how to sew, design, make, create, and do passion projects. Many students are investing in their future with FCCLA, and you should, too.
“I like FCCLA because it engages me in active learning. As someone who’s graduating next year, I think this is really good for me,” junior Sienna Mallet said. FCCLA engages students in industry awareness and encourages learning skills.
Students can learn how to solve many real world problems, as well as help others, like participating in many fundraisers for the general public, on top of fundraising for our school. We visit many homeless shelters and make food, snacks, goodies, and clothing items to help our community and people in need.
“It brings us together with kindness and support,” Member Alivia Bielinski mentioned. FCCLA is critical for our schools, bringing people together who may of not been before. We help each other and learn how to work with anyone, no matter what. We love and support each other with no discrimination. If you need a place to feel important and appreciated, we’ll appreciate you
FCCLA is here to assist, help, and support you and our community. Take your free time, and use it for something that will make you a better student, a better person, and even a better scholar. You are worthy, and you can make a difference. Join us and our team of friends and family.
Club meetings on Tuesdays 2:30-3:30, in room 113. Email Ms. Kimball at [email protected] if you’re interested in joining us.
