The Panthers look to rise to 4-1 this week while facing the Warriors of Wilson. Coming off of a 24-7 loss to Notre Dame Green Pond, the team looks to bounce back against the Warriors who are coming off of a 43-0 loss to the Pen Argyl Green Knights.
“We have to be perfect in our assignments this week, last week we let our small mistakes snowball and hold us down.” Robertson, who is the leading receiver for the Panthers is very close to owning all of the school’s receiving records, “It’s a huge honor to be in the company I’m with, I looked up to players like Alstan Wolfe when I was younger, so yeah it’s pretty cool,” said Robertson.
Robertson also credited the Jungle for their support this season. The Jungle led by senior Zack Male wants to help in supporting the team this Friday in their second home game. In their last home game they got a show as the Panthers routed the Palmerton Blue Bombers in a 63-0 victory.
“We are going to bring all of the energy we got and hopefully it leads to an impact on the game for our boys,” said senior Zack Male. The Jungle leaders have set the theme to safari this week and plan on seeing everyone there at 6 for the tailgate. As the Panthers face Wilson they would like to improve in many assets of the game.
“It’s a nameless opponent… it’s us versus us.” Head coach Anthony Brinkley said at practice on Thursday. The Panthers have held this emphasis all season. They believe the only person who can beat them is themselves. Go out and root for your Panthers on Friday.
