The Panthers are 6-1 coming into week 8 after a big win over Salisbury. The Panthers have been led by their rushing attack all season, along with some passing produced by sophomore quarterback Braden Rohn.
“He’s done a great job at running the offense and bringing a spark to the field,” said senior receiver Jack Robertson. When talking about how the sophomore quarterback has stepped up to the plate this season. He has also been accompanied in the backfield by his older brother and senior running back Jared Rohn. The leading rusher for the Panthers had 3 touchdown in their last game against Salisbury.
“He’s been running very well this year, and he’s been a great leader for us this year,” said senior center and defensive lineman Eli Torres. Along with racking up the rushing yards, he also leads the team in tackles and is top 5 in the league. The Panthers’ defense has been a strong suit for them this season as they have allowed on average 11.4 points per game which is one of the lowest in the league.
“Our coaches have put us in the best position on defense. We’re mostly seniors so we all want to play with intensity and not let the other team score,” said senior linebacker and offensive lineman Joey Griffith. The defense has been the strength of this team all year, and they know they are able to lean on their defense and they will come out with a win.
Looking to the coming weeks they play Pen Argyl, Southern Lehigh, and Northern Lehigh. Pen Argyl is their homecoming game so they’re looking to come out firing on all cylinders and come out with a win. They look to win out to guarantee a spot in the District 11 3a playoffs.
