What sport(s) do you play?
Football
When do these take place?
From just after July 4th to around end of October
Why did you choose these?
I chose football because it’s what I grew up playing, it’s a sport that means a lot to me and definitely boosted me when I wasn’t in a great place whether that be family issues or just personal problems.
What do you think is the most important aspect(s) of this(these) sport(s)?
Physicality and discipline. In my opinion, you need to be physical. If you’re not physical, then you’re not gonna go anywhere. I also believe you need to have discipline, none of that fancy stuff. Don’t talk bad about people, you do you.
Why do you think so?
You also have to understand if you make a mistake, It’s onto the next play. Just basic discipline and confidence; never tell yourself that you can’t. If you believe you can, you’ll succeed
What advice would you give to any aspiring athletes?
Just do you, don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do, as long as you give it 100% and give it everything you have, that’s something to be proud of.
Would you recommend these to other students?
I mean sometimes some people aren’t made to play certain sports or certain positions on a field but it’s not my place to close a door on them for that i encourage everyone to play a sport even if it’s not my sport
What is your go-to snack before or after your sporting event?
Pistachios personally, I like to add a little extra salt on them and shake up the bag
What is your favorite motivational sports related quote?
“if you’ve given it all you had even if it was 10% you gave it your all and that’s something to make the man in the mirror proud,” which is something one of my old coaches said.
If someone would want to join this, what would you tell them?
Play hard stay physical and do everything with purpose.
