The 2025 Grammy award show started off this year with a bang. The 67th anniversary of the Grammys featured a wide ranging cast of music artists recognized for their contributions and talent from the 2024 year. But who actually won? Starting off with the “Best Duo/Group Performance” award, where dozens of popular nominees faced each other.

Shakira blew away the competition this year with her newest hit “Las Mujeres Ya no Lloran”. This is her twelfth studio album, marking her first album release in seven years. The pop album follows the story of her transformation surrounding her breakup from her footballer lover, Gerard Piqué.

American singer and songwriter Sabrina Carpenter released a huge album this year which influenced many. “Short n’ Sweet” is her sixth studio album focusing on her love life and her experience with dating. The album was also number three on US Billboard Hot 100.

Beyonce did it again this year and stole the Grammys once more with her newest album, “Cowboy Carter”. This country Americana album blends diverse southern genres that Beyoncé experienced in her youth. The album is presented as a radio broadcast with many influential country musicians acting as DJs.
This year’s Grammys showed a wide range of genres, techniques and conflicts, some even with other musicians. A positive public opinion was given, which is typically unheard of for many Grammy award shows. This year however, it seemed that the judges followed close opinion to the majority of the public. Although many artists did not win this year, many music artists showed some of their best performances yet seen.
