Saucon’s spring sports are just around the corner and preparation for the next season is already in place. Many spring sports have some tough competition this season and play to come back and redeem themselves from last year.
Last season girl’s lacrosse had a record of 2-13, boy’s lacrosse was 0-17, baseball was 13-10, boy’s tennis was 9-2.
Much of the upcoming spring sports plan to have an exciting upcoming season.
Senior girl’s lacrosse player Arianna Renninger said, “I predict my season will be interesting, definitely a few wins but I hope we still compete in hard games” about her upcoming lacrosse season.
Girl’s lacrosse is looking forward to competing against Southern Lehigh in this upcoming season. Boy’s lacrosse are also looking forward to a great upcoming season.
Junior Jacob Norwood who is a boy’s lacrosse player said, “I think that our season will go pretty well this year even if we don’t win a lot of games. Our players have been playing together for a while now, and I think our chemistry will certainly help us perform better than last year, and have fun.”
Boy’s lacrosse is most looking forward to playing against Liberty and Bethlehem Catholic due to it being their closest completion.
Baseball hopes to have another awarding season.
Senior Cole Hubert said this about the upcoming baseball season, “I predict the season will go well. Hopefully we can win another district title.”
Baseball is looking forward to competing against Bangor, Salisbury, and Bethlehem Catholic in the district playoffs this spring season.
Lastly, boy’s tennis hopes to crush it this upcoming season with their new rebuild of a team.
Senior Louis Flowers said this about the upcoming boy’s tennis team, “I think boys tennis will have a great season. We unfortunately lost five strong varsity players from last season, but a lot of the JV guys from last year have made great improvements to their games. Jerry Lin and Daniel Hahr will definitely be two players to look out for.”
Tennis hopes to finally beat Moravian this year since it has been a 20 year winning drought against them.
These upcoming spring sports are looking forward to this upcoming season and plan to compete and have fun while playing.
