What is your favorite class to teach?

I have always enjoyed teaching algebra 1. It is the first class I ever taught when I began my teaching career and have always enjoyed the applications of the concepts it covers.

Who is your teacher-best friend?

I rarely leave my room and can’t really say I have a teacher best friend, but I feel we really have great teachers working here.

What inspired you to be a teacher?

I always struggled with math, especially algebra and geometry growing up. It wasn’t until my junior year of high school that I had a teacher that really took the time to explain things and really made sure I comprehended the material. Since then, I have always wanted to have that same impact on others.

What’s your favorite color?

My favorite color is orange. I was the main color of my high school and I guess by seeing it so often it just became my favorite.

What is your favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is Ted Lasso. I love the positivity it conveys and think it is hilarious.

Morning or night?

Night, I struggle waking up most mornings.

What is your favorite teaching memory?

I don’t know if I really have a favorite teaching memory. My favorite thing about teaching is when I work with students who struggle and see that moment when they finally get it. I find it to be very rewarding. I also enjoy visits from former students who either want to check in or just say hi. I really makes you feel that you are having an impact on someone.

If you could do any other profession, what would it be?

If I wasn’t teaching I would probably be doing something in construction. I love working with my hands and was enrolled in vo-tech in high school.

What was your high school/college job?

In high school I stocked shelves at Redner’s market in Allentown. In college I had several jobs. I worked at Lowe’s as a cashier, worked golf course maintenance at Saucon Valley Country Club, and was a dairy manager at Redner’s market in Easton.

Do you have a hidden talent?

I don’t think I have any hidden talents. If I do, they are still hiding.
