Q: How long have you wanted to be a teacher?
A: I have wanted to be a teacher since childhood. When I was really little, I used to “teach” my stuffed animals math problems on a small blackboard that I had in my room. I would give them problems to solve for “homework.”
Q: Do you have any plans for the future? If so, what?
A: In a few years when I retire, I hope to travel all over the country and the world.
Q: What’s your favorite book and why?
A: It’s hard to pick just one book! But, I would say a book by the Irish author, Frank McCourt. I really liked all three of his books that I read–Angela’s Ashes, Tis, and Teacher Man. McCourt won the Pulitzer Prize for Angela’s Ashes which is a memoir about his early childhood in Brooklyn, NY and his life in Limerick, Ireland where he grew up.
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: My dream would be to get a house at a lake so I could spend my days kayaking and reading.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?
A: I like to be outside, riding my bike or doing yard work. I also like to read and watch movies.
