Around this time every year, there is a debate: When is it too early for Christmas music?
There is no definitive answer, as it is entirely opinion based, but that doesn’t stop people from debating.
Most radio stations begin playing Christmas music during November. Some start playing it the first of the month, while others wait until the 11th or 15th. No matter what, it is almost a guarantee to hear Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving.
People who enjoy playing Christmas music early believe that it’s a good and easy way to get into the holiday spirit. They argue that they only get to listen to this music once a year.
On the other hand, people who believe that the music should be held off argue that we should only play Christmas music around Christmastime. They also argue that there are not many original songs and most are covers, making the music seem repetitive.
