The history of Christmas presents refers back to the New Testament story of the Three Wise Men bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to newborn Jesus. As well as St. Nicholas, a fourth-century bishop known for secret gift giving. The practice evolved, which led to the influence of gift giving in modern times.
Many people get stuck with trying to accomplish the perfect gift for their loved ones. Different age groups tend to like different things, a lot coming from the influence of social media or generally just what the new trend is.
Many teenagers ask for technology, such as phones or computers, but that can take an expensive turn. Some gifts I think a teenager would love could be clothes for the winter season, like hoodies or jackets. Many teenagers tend to need these things but spend their money on expensive things.
Many people like receiving cologne or perfumes for Christmas. Many teenagers tend to also like receiving decor for their room. It’s also a good idea to buy more productive gifts, to guide people to get off their devices. Those can include coloring books, crafts and something for them to take and make a hobby out of. “ I would think a gym membership would be a good gift to guide people to exert a healthier lifestyle” said freshman Brielle Schaefer.
Adults usually have a different idea of what they want for Christmas. I would think many of them would like kitchen appliances, memberships, as well as shoes. It all depends on the kind of person and what they enjoy.
A few perfect gifts for seniors could include slippers, jewelry, custom gifts, warm clothes. I would say seniors are easier to buy for because there is a wide variety of things they will like. I would say a nice custom gift, something as easy as a cutting board with their last name on it, would be perfect.
If you are looking for a gift for someone who says they have no idea what they want for Christmas, it can be harder to decide. It honestly depends on the person’s interests, but here are some gifts that are high-rated and can be enjoyable for everyone. Legos are a perfect gift that offer endless creativity and skill building. Many people don’t like receiving socks for Christmas, especially kids, but I think it could be a good gift especially for the winter season. As well as foods, everyone loves getting their favorite snack as a present. You can also focus on experiences, such as event tickets, classes, subscriptions, etc.
Those are some presents for different age groups or universally enjoyed gifts that offer the quality of things they need and might want, as perfect gifts for Christmas.
