Coming May 7, 2026, Hatsune Miku will be performing live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, as a part of the Hatsune Miku Expo 2026 North America Tour.
Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer and Vocaloid software voicebank. She’s a voice synthesizer, you can use her to alter your own voice or produce the vocals to a song without having to sing. Despite originating from Japan, Miku has also become popular in the United States and other countries.
This event is far from the first tour Miku has gone on, visiting places like China, Australia, South Korea, and more. Virtual Reality “games” were even added so people could enjoy concerts featuring Miku throughout the pandemic.
There isn’t an official song list for the Miku Expo 2026 yet, but there are a few that are commonly predicted, such as “Tell Your World” or “Senbonzakura.” New, increasingly popular songs such as “Magical Cure Love Shot!” are debated as well, along with fan favorites like “Hatsune Miku No Shoushitsu.”
Miku has 3.4 million listeners on Spotify alone, not including songs that use her voice model without the app or website properly crediting her. That’s no small feat, and it’s incredibly impressive the virtual singer managed to inspire Japanese, English, and other language speakers.
Tickets to see Miku perform these songs and others live can range from anywhere between $100 to over $300. Given the fact the concert will be held at the Prudential Center, it’s hardly surprising. Still, if you’re looking for the more expensive seats, it may be difficult to afford a ticket.
For major events like the Miku Expos, or ones that take place in major cities, tickets to see Hatsune Miku can sell out. That’s typically thousands of people, all coming to see a singer that only exists in the virtual world.
The Hatsune Miku Expo 2026 North America Tour will likely be a success, whether tickets sell out or not. Since Miku will be coming to Newark, New Jersey in early May next year, it could be beneficial to prepare beforehand. She still has many fans based in the United States; the concert at the Prudential Center will have no issue gaining attention.
