Q: What is your favorite part about teaching?
A: My favorite part of teaching is when a student who is struggling has that moment where it suddenly makes sense. As someone who struggled with math initially in school, my goal is for students to reach their full potential and find the meaning in math.
Q: Why did you choose to become a teacher?
A: As a student, I struggled with math in school. In my junior year, I had a first year teacher who really took the time to explain the content and it suddenly made sense. Since then, my goal has been to do the same for my students.
Q: Would you rather teach in the middle school or the high school?
A: I taught middle school for the first 9 years of my career before being moved to the high school. Between the two, I would definitely prefer high school. I enjoy working with the older students and helping to guide them to future careers.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do?
A: In my free time I enjoy watching sports, being with my family, running, and playing video games
Q: If you were to have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: I would love the power to fly. I am a bit of a thrill seeker and would find enjoyment in being able to fly.
