On January 5, Riot Games released their newest cinematic, “Welcome to my world…,” for their game Valorant. It gives viewers a remixed version of Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” sung by King Mala with a feature from Audrey Nuna, as they gain a further insight into the conflict between Alpha and Omega Earth.
This video is entirely from the perspective of Omega Earth’s Valorant Protocol, and could be viewed as the counterpart to the cinematic, “WHY WE FIGHT // EGO, ft. Qing Madi,” from early June 2025.
Beginning with a clip of Chamber being severely injured, the cinematic follows Viper as she struggles with the losses that Omega Earth has repeatedly suffered to Alpha Earth. The beds next to a barely-alive Chamber have body-shaped lumps underneath them, and the only person able to revive them is almost completely encased in crystal—nearly dead, herself. Based on the crystals formed on Alpha Earth Sage in “WHY WE FIGHT // EGO ft. Qing Madi,” viewers can infer that this Sage overexerted her powers by repeatedly reviving her teammates, and is now suffering the consequences of it.
Chamber’s fall appears to be Viper’s breaking point. After a scene that confirms a romantic relationship between the two Omega Earth agents, Viper recruits the only other living agents—Yoru, Sova, and Breach—to mutiny against Brimstone’s leadership.
After several scenes that deepen the lore for each of these characters, Viper leads them on a mission to set the tone for their future endeavors.
The small group ambushes a low-key dinner party between a few Alpha Earth agents. Raze was taken, Reyna was likely fatally injured, Sova appeared to be blinded by his counterpart, and Brimstone was killed after a short battle with a grieving, fury empowered Viper.
Recovering from the injuries and casualties will throw a wrench into Alpha Earth’s plans, and set the balance in Omega Earth’s favor for the first time in a while.
With the positive comments and feedback from this cinematic release, players and viewers alike beg Riot Games to give Valorant the same treatment that League of Legends was given with its show Arcane.
