With the Saucon valley baseball season officially in full swing, the team is looking to ramp things up. The boys are 2-2 to start the season with 2 wins coming against Moravian Academy and Catasauqua. The Panthers fell short to Southern Lehigh and Northwestern Lehigh.
Senior Nicholas Albanese is off to a hot start at the plate, batting an astonishing .583 with 7 hits, 2 RBIs and a double. Another hot bat for the Panthers to start the season is junior Noah Hubert. Hubert is batting .500 with 2 doubles and a triple. On the pitching side of things senior Jacob Eshleman is leading the way with a .88 era through 8 innings.
After a tough loss to Northwestern on Monday, March 30, the boys are looking to get back in the win column in future games. Hubert will look to start the game for the Panthers. “I’m feeling good, it’s been a rocky start to the season but I’m confident in the boys ability to turn it around when we need to,” said Hubert. Saucon Valley is currently 9th in the colonial league with Notre Dame – Green Pond in first place. The boys have a lot of season left and hopefully got the wake up call they were needing.
