At Saucon, the work doesn’t stop even after the bell rings. In every hall, you can hear people talking and participating in clubs. From competitive to music clubs, we have some of the most talented students. With over 30 clubs, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Academic and leadership clubs continue to excel beyond expectations. The Debate team had a successful year, as did Scholastic Scrimmage, both making it to their respective finals. Model UN had four medalists and excellent participants. FBLA had 14 members qualify for the state competition and many medallists at the DeSales competition. This year marked one of Saucon’s best for its competitive clubs.
Student leadership (SGA) plays an important role in pep rallies and school events, helping foster an inclusive environment. The National Honor Society recently held a blood drive to raise money for a good cause. From the Freshman to Senior class officers, they have put in the work through fundraisers to make sure they have a successful four years at Saucon. With the implementation of the Student Advisory Council (SAC), students’ voices are now being heard at the district level by the superintendent.
Service is a key part of this year’s clubs. The Environmental Club is committed to saving our planet, while the Leo Club continues to provide necessary supplies to students in need. The students continue to volunteer for good causes showing their kindness and selflessness.
Some of the creative and innovative clubs include Robotics, Paranormal, Reading Team, and Songwriting. Robotics had another successful year of competitions, proving why Saucon’s STEM program is ahead of the game. Paranormal Club continues to investigate mysterious phenomena around the universe. The Reading Team is preparing for its upcoming competition after reading many books to set themselves up for success. The addition of the Songwriting Club offers students a chance to explore how lyrics are made and how to compose their own songs.
What makes these clubs truly special isn’t just their awards and achievements; it’s the friendships and teamwork that develop along the way. Across every club, there’s a family with Saucon pride that continues to make the school thrive.
