After weeks of school, would you prefer sitting in a classroom as summer is around the corner or play some fun activities outside the classroom? The FOR Club or The Friends of Rachel Club is hosting a field day on the week of 5/11. It’s an event where high school students from any class can participate and it’s games we used to play in our childhood from elementary school and middle school.
There are many diverse activities that you can participate in. The activities consist of water balloon toss, four square, cup stacking, dodge ball (with sponges), capture the flag, and more. The classes will also be divided by color to show their unity with one another. Seniors wear red, juniors wear blue, sophomores wear green and freshmen wear pink.
Now the club consists of many students who have been emotionally touched by the strong message from the Rachel’s Challenge program. The FOR club is a group dedicated to spreading kindness to one another and awareness around the school and community about bullying, self harm, etc. The group partakes in monthly meetings and comes up with ways in which they can contribute to spreading kindness.
This field day event is a great opportunity to show the cohesiveness and kindness of our community. It is a great way to show kindness to one another and to also have fun. This day is also alongside the Polar Pop event that is being held by the Big Panthers Little Panthers. Now tell me, would you rather sit in a classroom or spend a good amount of time outside having fun?
