2025 was a really entertaining year because a lot of big events happened. Much like they do every year. In January, there was a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. A few weeks later, Tik Tok got banned. Or at least we thought that it did. It got unbanned about an hour later and users were right back on the app. This happened about a week after President Donald Trump was inaugurated into office. Not to mention, there were huge wildfires in Los Angeles. This caused evacuations for the public and also caused the Los Angeles Rams to play their home playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings that was supposed to be held at SoFi Stadium, to be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

In February, The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, 40-22 over the Kansas City Chiefs. This game was definitely not as close as the score appeared to be in the end. In other sports news, one of the most shocking trades in sports history happened in the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis. Beyoncé won a Grammy for Album of the year for her album “Cowboy Carter.” She because the most awarded Grammy winner

A few months later, Pope Francis passed away. This happened the day after Easter. A month later in May, they elected a new Pope in the Vatican. The new Pope was from Chicago, Illinois. Pope Leo XIV was the first American Pope to be elected in history.

In the middle of the Summer, there were some huge floods in Texas. These floods caused a few deaths and some injuries too. It took out an entire summer camp for girls in Texas. Many homes were damaged and many people were affected. There was also some major flooding in the African country of Nigeria that caused a lot of damage too.

In the early stages of the fall and late stages of the summer, a big heist had taken place. This heist took place at the Louvre. The museum in Paris, France. This is the same museum where the Mona Lisa is currently being held. The thieves broke in and stole jewels from a safe. Another popular topic that occurred around this time was Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift getting engaged.

In the end, it was a really fun, crazy, and eventful year. 2026 will probably be just as wild and full of thrills. This has been the 2025 year recap.
