This year, 12 teams will compete for the most prestigious trophy in all of college football, the national championship. The first 5 teams out were Notre Dame, BYU, Texas, Vanderbilt, and Utah. Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Oregon, Tulane, Ole miss, Texas tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami, James Madison are all competing for the title, but who will win it?
Starting things off in the first round, #9 Alabama is hosting #8 Oklahoma. I think John Mateer and the 7th best defense in college football will hold strong against the Crimson Tide, and win the game 27-17. Next is #5 Oregon and #12 James Madison. JMU is a group of 5, so I think powerhouse Oregon will have no problem winning this game 42-10. #7 Texas A&M faces Carson Beck and the #10 Miami Hurricanes in the first round, but Marcel Reed and the 12th man will lead the Aggies to a 21-17 victory over Miami. In the last first round game #6 Ole Miss travels to #11 Tulane, where Trinidad Chambliss will dominate the group of 5 Tulane 31-3.
Next in the second round, #8 Oklahoma will face the #1 team, the Indiana Hoosiers. Oklahoma’s reign will end here, losing to Indiana 24-10. Next, #5 Oregon will play #4 Texas tech, where Texas tech will top Dakorien Moore and the ducks 24-21. Next up is #7 Texas A&M and #2 Ohio State, where Jeremiah Smith and the Buckeyes will beat the Aggies 24-7. In the final second round game, #6 Ole Miss and #3 Georgia will face off and Gunner Stockton will lead the dogs to victory over the rebels, winning 24-14.
In the first of 2 semifinals games, #4 Texas tech and #1 Indiana plays, and Texas Tech will take this game, winning 27-24 in overtime, which will give them a spot in the national championship game, in the second game Ohio State and Georgia will play, and the Bulldogs will outdo the Buckeyes 35-38, securing their spot in the championship game.
